Cotton Flower Fragrance

The fragrance of this immaculately white vegan candle is an invitation to gentle solace. Its signature has an airy, powder-puff quality.
Head notes: the gentleness of rosewood.
Heart notes: delicately aldehydic cotton enriched with ylang-ylang blossoms.
Base notes: a counterpoint of tonka beans and white musk.

Manufacturing

The cotton flower scented candle is natural and eco-designed, made from a blend of 100% vegetable waxes. Its raw materials create a high-quality marriage between wax and perfume, for optimal diffusion.
We have ruled out mineral waxes (which are also natural) such as paraffin because they are not renewable.

How to use a scented candle?

First tip: place the candle on a heat-resistant surface. Ensure the wick is straight, then light it with a lighter or match. Each time you use it, let the candle burn for at least 3 to 4 hours, until all the vegetable wax has become liquid on the surface. This will prevent the candle from hollowing out and forming a well around the wick. Never leave the lit wick in contact with the edge of the candle, and make sure the wick is straight and centered when extinguishing it. This allows the candle wax to burn evenly.

How to extinguish a candle?

Simply dip the lit wick into the liquid wax. This will immediately extinguish the candle, without smoke or odor. You will then need to straighten the wick.

Why trim a candle's wick?

Before each use, trim the wick by 5 mm to promote optimal burning. If the wick is too high, the flame may emit black smoke.

Does the candle's glass container get hot?

Like all burning candles, the glass container will become hot after a few hours of use. There is no risk to the candle holder or the furniture on which your candle will be placed. However, we recommend waiting for the candle to cool before moving it and keeping it out of reach of children and pets.

Our candle contains 100% vegetable wax, but is it natural? Yes! Natural wax can be either mineral or vegetable wax—what's the difference?

Vegetable wax, extracted from plants such as soy or rice, is a biodegradable wax and has the advantage of not releasing any black smoke when burned. Mineral wax, composed of paraffin, is very often used for candle making. It has several advantages: it is widely available, colorless, and odorless. However, it is non-renewable. In a more eco-responsible approach, all the candles in this collection are made from 100% vegetable wax, derived from soy and sunflower. A beautiful, handmade, natural, and eco-designed candle—what better way to scent your home?
